Copeland Distillery

The Copeland Distillery, situated on Ireland’s East Coast, is a craft producer of a range of Irish Gin, Rum, Vodka, Coffee Liqueur, Single Malt and Pot Still Whiskey.

The Copeland Distillery story started in the summer of 2016, when we successfully raised £30,000 from crowdfunding. We have grown substantially over the last five years and now have a distillery based in Donaghadee to make all of our spirits. All of our products are inspired by the history of Donaghadee and the Copeland Islands.

The Copeland Distillery Tours

Truly immerse yourself at The Copeland Distillery. Our tours operate on Saturday evenings, where you’ll hear tales of secret smugglers, savage battles and remarkable voyages, all while soaking up our coastal spirits including whiskey, gin, and coffee liqueur. 

You’ll find the distillery in the old picture house, situated a stone’s throw from the harbour, where you can take in the historic sites of the iconic lighthouse before your tour. You’ll hear the rich history of the distillery and the town itself, once the busiest port town in Northern Ireland, with seafarers from across the globe landing with spirits and spices. 

Our distillery is rich in both heritage and community. You’ll get to sample our range of spirits, and reconnect with people with a shared passion for the craft of distilling and the local area.

Visitor Centre

We also have our on-site coffee shop which is open from 9am – 4pm daily and gives customers the chance to enjoy a coffee and traybake while watching the distillery in action. We also have Copeland Distillery merch and spirits available to purchase at our visitor centre.
